Hi Everyone! So I've decided to start over and try to make this blog work. After changing a few things and planning some upcoming ideas, and so on I figured I should start out with a bit of a 'Get To Know Me' type blog, so here goes...
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Naturally my hair is extremely straight. I can remember being in my early teens and having super wavy, crazy thick hair and hating it with a burning passion! I'd give anything to have that hair back now. What I have now is still fairly thick but it's very fine and pin straight so after about 10 hours its flat and ready for a good scrubbing.
2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I haven't colored my hair in years, however if and when I decide to do so again, I'll be going to a professional.
3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
For the most part my hair looks pretty much the same everyday. I work with 3-5 year olds in a classroom setting and regardless of how it looks when I get there...it's a hot mess by the time I leave.
4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
Salon for sure. Now, while I actually am a Certified Nail Technician myself, I still prefer to have someone else pamper me. If I do it myself I just end up picking at every little thing I could have done better that I no longer enjoy it.
5. How often do you change your nail polish?
I don't generally wear polish on my hands because I work in the classroom setting and it can sometimes chip, flake, etc. and that's not something children enjoy in their breakfast and/or lunch. It also doesn't seem to hold up while we're playing in the art area or after washing my hands 10+ times a day.
6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
Mostly in the summer but I do tend to have something on my toes in the winter...it just may have chipped off a bit and be in need of some TLC.
7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
Generally I get up 2 hours before I have to be at work...I shower, do my makeup and hair...and am out of the house in about 1.5 hours. So makeup probably takes about 45 minutes of that time.
8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Face! I've often tried doing my eyes first but I need to have a perfected (or as close as I can get to one) before I do my eyes so I can really see what I want to do. The times I've done my eyes first I end up mucking it up when I go back and do my face.
9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Well, I wouldn't call myself a collector...but I definitely have more than one person would probably need in their lifetime. Lets just leave it at that for now...
10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Very rarely. Kids don't seem to be too interested in them until they're coming off or have detached at one side. I keep lashes on hand for special occasions, like date night or girls night out!
11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Pretty much! Today I'm rocking the nekkid face but I don't plan on going out in public so I'm not too worried about it.
12. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
Generally, yes! I enjoy makeup. I like taking the time to sit down and just play with it. I love coming up with new ways of making my features pop and just transforming my face into a better version of me.
13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
I don't like to...but I do on occasion. Sometimes my husband just refuses to wait on me! Haha! I also hate to leave the house if I haven't showered that morning...which is why I generally get up and shower almost immediately.
14. How many high-end products do you have?
The majority of my makeup 'collection' consists of higher end products. That does not mean I don't enjoy quality drugstore items as well...it's just a nice feeling to have the ability to purchase and enjoy high end products.
15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
I'm really very simple when it comes to clothes, I mostly wear solid colors and tend to be a t-shirt & jeans kind of girl. If I find a shirt I like, I tend to buy it in multiple colors. :)
16. How often do you change your handbag?
Every few months. I have Spring bags...Summer bags...Fall bags...Winter bags...
17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
I wake up every morning at 6am and tend to go to sleep around 11-12.
18. How often or when do you workout?
About 3 days a week. I have a local gym memberhsip and am trying to make the most of it but I work 2 jobs and it doesn't always happen.
19. Left handed or right handed?
Right.
20. How tall are you?
5'11"
21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Not fluently. However, I do know enough Spanish to get by.
22. How many pets do you have?
1 - a Boston Terrier named Gizzy.
23. How often are you on Blogger?
I'm just starting over so in the beginning my plan is at least weekly. We'll see what happens.
24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Yep! On my own blog and on others. Sometimes the comments are the most helpful!
25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I do, I have a sheet of paper next to my laptop with lots of things listed, some scratched out, some with stars by them, some with notes below, etc. etc.
26. How did you come up with your blog name?
I'm obsessed with Blush and I love all things Beauty!
27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
I'll be using my Samsung Galaxy for now.
28. How often do you clean your house?
Ugh...not as often as I should.
29. What's your favorite color?
Purple!
30. Do you swear?
More than I should.
31. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
I'll be coming up with ideas and taking photos for upcoming blogs.
